Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PDFGrove (the “Service”), available at https://pdfgrove.com and operated by the PDFGrove team (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PDFGrove provides online tools to convert, edit, compress, merge, split, rotate, watermark, protect, unlock, and otherwise process PDF and image files through your web browser. Some tools run entirely in your browser; others process your file on our servers to complete the requested task. We may add, change, or remove tools and features at any time.

2. Accounts

You can use the core tools without an account. Some features require you to register with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Free and Pro plans; billing

• Free plan. The core tools are free to use, subject to limits such as maximum file size, page count, and number of tasks per day. Files produced on the free plan may include a small PDFGrove footer.
• Pro plan. PDFGrove Pro is a paid, recurring subscription that removes those limits and unlocks advanced tools. The current price and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page.
• Payments. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider acting as the merchant of record. That provider handles the transaction, applicable taxes, and billing receipts, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
• Renewal and cancellation. Pro subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; your Pro features remain active until the end of the period already paid for, and you will not be charged again after cancellation.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled in line with our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• upload, process, or distribute any file or content you do not have the legal right to use, or that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process unlawful, harmful, or malicious content;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• circumvent usage limits, security, or access controls, or use automated means to abuse the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access for any use that violates these Terms.

5. Your files and privacy

You retain all ownership of the files you upload or create. We use your files only to perform the operation you request. Files processed on our servers are deleted automatically a short time after processing; files handled by browser-based tools are not uploaded to us at all. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the PDFGrove name and logo, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. PDFGrove is built in part on open-source software; those components and their licenses are listed on our licenses page. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results, or uninterrupted availability. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important files; we are not a backup or storage service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFGrove and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be subject to the courts located in Bangladesh, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
