Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PDFGrove (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at https://pdfgrove.com, handles your files and personal information. We built PDFGrove to be private by default and collect as little as possible.
1. Your files
When you use a tool, your file is used only to perform the operation you requested — nothing else. We never read, sell, share, or use the contents of your files for any other purpose.
- Browser-based tools process your file entirely on your own device; the file is never uploaded to us.
- Server-based tools receive your file over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, process it, and then delete it automatically a short time afterwards. We do not keep a permanent copy.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Usage analytics. We use first-party, privacy-friendly analytics that record only aggregate counts — for example, how many times a particular tool was used or a page was viewed. We do not store your IP address, set advertising or tracking cookies, or build profiles of individual users.
- Cookies. We use only strictly necessary cookies: one to keep you signed in, and one to apply free-plan usage limits to visitors who aren’t signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, which acts as merchant of record. We do not receive or store your full card details. The provider’s own privacy policy governs how it handles your payment information.
3. How we use information
We use the limited information above to provide and operate the Service, manage your account and subscription, prevent abuse and fraud, and understand overall usage so we can improve the product. We do not use it for advertising.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us run PDFGrove — namely our payment provider (to process subscriptions) and our hosting/infrastructure provider (to operate the website) — and only as needed for those purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Data retention
Uploaded files are deleted automatically shortly after processing. Account information is kept for as long as your account is active and deleted when you close it or ask us to remove it. Aggregate analytics counts are kept for a limited period (currently up to about 90 days) and contain no personal identifiers.
6. Security
We protect your information with measures including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, securely hashed passwords, and automatic deletion of processed files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data.
7. Your rights and choices
You can access or update your account details, cancel your subscription at any time, and ask us to delete your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data; contact us to exercise them.
8. Children
PDFGrove is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
We operate from Bangladesh, and your information may be processed there or wherever our infrastructure providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
